Intermediate 3 and Senior Level Mini-concert 2021

Date: 11/04/2021

  • The long-awaited concert of HKCC was held successfully since the epidemic situation improved. Senior Level and Intermediate 3 from the Choral Programme brought two mini-concerts to the stage on 11 April at the Auditorium of Tsuen Wan Town Hall. HKCC Vocal Adviser in Residence Chan Siu-kwan was invited to the concerts to advise on members' performance. The limit on the number of audience was also relaxed before the show and allowed more parents to attend.

Members presented two fantastic shows regardless of the short practising time since the face-to-face classes resumed in March, by their hard work in less than a month. Five classes from Senior Level presented songs with varied styles from east and west; a few songs were also world premiered in the concert, including The Time Train from the HKCC 50th Anniversary Children's Choral Composition Selections, The Pi Song Part II and Trusting the Rainbow composed by Senior A's tutor Alex Tam. The afternoon show was presented by nine classes from Intermediate 3, which their performance was delightful and entertaining. Songs were accompanied by rhythmic body movement and instruments, for instance, the Kusimama performed by Intermediate 3A. All audience gave a big round of applause for members' heartfelt performance.

Mini-concerts provide a great opportunity for members to learn from and appreciate each other, at the same time to get used to and understand the procedures of stage performance before the large-scale shows. Hope all members can acquire experience from the mini-concerts and bring us a further impressive show next time.
