Chamber Youth Concert 2025

Chamber Youth Concert 2025 “Finding Our Voices” was successfully held on 14 September at the West Kowloon Centre Recital Hall. Led by Vivian Ip who was awarded the 3rd Prize at the 2025 International Ferenc Fricsay Conducting Competition and accompanied by Alexander Wong, members shared unique stories with their genuine voices, in search of the soul’s purest sound.

The concert began with the Cuban folk song Son de Camagüey, unfolding through four thematic chapters—Faith, Home, Love, and Self-Discovery. Members performed classic works like Arvo Pärt’s Bogoróditse Djévo and Mozart’s Ave verum corpus, expressing how Faith brings peace to our hearts. Local compositions such as Picturesque Cityscape and The Sewing Threads in the Hand of a Loving Mother evoked the warmth and comfort of Home, while Don’t Text Him and Blue Skies captured the playful sincerity of Love. The performance concluded with City on Fire, the highlights from musicals “A Tale of the Southern Sky” and You Will Be Found from “Dear Evan Hansen”, affirming that one can always find their way back through hope and resilience. A final embrace of warm voices marked the perfect close to the concert.
