5th Anniversary of Promulgation & Implementation of Hong Kong National Security Law Forum

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) will mark the 5th anniversary of the promulgation and implementation of the Law of the People’s Republic of China on Safeguarding National Security in the HKSAR on 30 June 2025. In commemoration of this milestone, the HKSAR Government held the “5th Anniversary of Promulgation & Implementation of Hong Kong National Security Law Forum” on 21 June at the Grand Hall of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Work Office of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, Xia Baolong, was invited to officiate at the ceremony and deliver a keynote speech. The Chief Executive of the HKSAR and the Chairman of the Hong Kong National Security Committee, John Lee, also delivered a keynote speech at the ceremony.
The opening ceremony commenced with the national anthem led by The Hong Kong Children’s Choir Senior A and accompanied by the Hong Kong Police Band. All attending guests stood in unison and joined in the anthem, marking the solemn commencement of the forum.
